Story To Song Connection

    I choose the song "Lonely Day" by System of a Down for the story to song connection blog. This song reminds me of when Shay leaves for the smoke and Tally decides to stay behind. Also, about her just wanting to become pretty so that she can escape the loneliness. Most of the loneliness is because Tally hover boards by herself, and sneaks out by herself without any company. Losing two of her friends can also impact how lonely she feels. In addition, I feel that Peris could possibly feel the same way about not having Tally by his side in the pretties. For these few reasons I choose this song as a representation for Tally.

Empathy: Tally's Letter To Her Parents

Dear Ellie and Sol,
     I have decided to tell the Special Circumstances about the note and to help them find Shay. I have made this decision because Dr. Cable said that once a person goes to the Smoke they're never seen again. I'm worried that Shay's in trouble and needs my help. The only way to find out if she's actually okay is to find her, but I don't want to be captured by the smoke also.

White Water Rapids

White Water Rapids:

When Tally and Shay went on the the rapids they probably felt sensations for every one of the five senses. The first, touch, is feeling of the cold river water splashing in there faces as they took their hover boards over the water. The second, taste, was the taste of the sweet water splashing in their mouths. The third, sight, even though it was dark they could still see the water crashing over the rocks and misting into the air by moon light. The fourth, hearing the water falling over the rocks and rumbling as the flew over. Finally, the fifth, smelling the sweet smell of the vegetation along the edge of the river, and the smell of the algae in the river.

Chapter One Quotation:
Is it not good to make society full of beautiful people?

     I personally believe that making society full of beautiful people is not bad, but it is neither good at the same time. Beauty should not be a mandatory belief of everybody. People should have a choice to how they look. For example, someone may look ugly in society's views (Over weight, blemishes, and an asymmetrical appearance), but to a significant other they look like the most beautiful person. It is good to offer treatment to those who believe they are ugly and have low self-esteem because of it. It would be a great confidence booster for those who are lower in society because of their looks.

Bestfriend

My best friend (and girlfriend) is Allison Coon. I met her when I was attending my freshman year at Southeastern High School in 2009. We have been best friends and dating for over 2 years now. Our favorite memory is our first Halloween, I went as a "greaser" and she went as a cat. We have also had many more memories in these past few years, but it would be too many to write down. I think that no-matter what happens we will always be friends. I don't know what I'd do if I was never able to see her again.
